Day -3: The Plan (June 27)
I decided to start this blog for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I wanted to account for my plan and the actual results to improving my health, focus and overall fitness I am one of those individuals that has lost/gained weight over and over, started/stopped smoking more times than I can count, and in recent years I can start to tell that work/family stress have affected my focus and mental effort to prioritize working out. I want to better control my mind and improve my fitness, but I know I need to be the one to own it. I cannot rely on a coach, or yet another motivational book (or process), as those are not long term, sustainable measures. I need to be the one that not only has the desire to change but takes ownership of executing and maintaining it. So I am writing this blog only for myself. I might end up sharing it, but really it is just for me. I am starting it 4 days before I start the changes that I am going to execute on. In truthfulness, I have been doing some things for a while now (like running, and spinning on our Peloton, and trying to eat healthy) but not consistently. That is what this blog is for - to accurately and truthfully account for my progress and my regression (hopefully not too much of that).
